About Organisation Started as an Area
Accounts office in 1984, which was subsequently upgraded to CDA
(SWC) office consequent to formation of South Western Command i.e.
w.e.f. 01/08/2005 at Jaipur. The office was further upgraded to
PCDA (SWC) Jaipur in Novmber -2006.
The geographical jurisdiction of PCDA (SWC) corresponds with the
jurisdiction of HQ South Western Command which covers a major part
of Rajasthan and some parts of Haryana and Punjab. Under the jurisdiction
of PCDA (SWC) there are the following sub-offices which are situated
in Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana.

The organisation of the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts
(South Western Command), Jaipur (PCDA SWC) , is an important office
of the Defence Accounts Department under the Ministry of Defence,
Government of India. This office is headed by a Principal Controller
of Defence Accounts and is mainly engaged in the following important
functions:
All works connected with the payment, accounting and classification
of bills relating to pay and allowances of Defence Civilian (officers
and staff), miscellaneous allowances, contingencies, payments of
bills for stores, supplies and works, local audit of the stores
and MES accounts and the inspection of cash accounts of units and
formations in the areas under its jurisdiction.
Financial Advice to the units and formations.
The accounting and internal audit of all Army formations including
MES. PCDA also furnishes such statistics relating to accounts as
the Army authorities may require for carrying out a systematic review
of expenditure under locally controlled heads, as per canons of
financial propriety.
